That's My Dad - Poem by Daniel Lloyd Kennedy
It is true that we are separated by a long distance in miles,
But not in the heart.
It is true that we argue and see things differently at times,
But not so much that we won't listen to each others ideas.
It is true that we will look at a problem from a different angle,
But not so much different that we don't come up with the same answer.
What is most true,
Is that I could not have picked a better father for this journey,
It is also true that when some one asks 'Who is your father.'
With a tear in my eye and a hesitation in my voice,
I can proudly say 'That's my Dad'
