The Bard's Prayer (Satire) - Poem by Kelly Kurt

Oh, Kelly
Who art a heathen
Fallow is thy name
Thy sarcasm comes
Thy brain is numb
As humanity has driven you raving
Give us this day your daily rant
And forgive us our fantasies
As we have just supposed what we've been fed is fact
And lead us not into confusion
But deliver us from ourselves
Amen

I understand. No validity, nothing but evil in religion. Contradictory and nonsensical and yet billions still pray to a fairy tale man that will torture them forever if they don't (Report) Reply

The holy books were written by ancient, ignorant men with an agenda. I think they would laugh if they saw how that nonsense still so fully permeates 21st century life.

A beautiful self guidance, the ego asks the conscience not to lead into confusion and to give a day of such a light that leads to the path of a clear and established truth. (Report) Reply

A truthful look into whats and whys will open eyes

Rolling of eyes is not becoming Kelly. It serves you right for writing a parody. They are now your words.
I wish I had the ability to turn my brain off. It would be so comforting.

    I will read it,
    Over and over again
    My smile will not fade,
    I know not when.

    What a wonderful morning prayer
    To start the day amended,
    And not to have pretended,
to be what we are not
    For this dear Sir,
We do thank you a lot
