The Bear - Poem by Ula Goss

The bear moves
Prowling with slow steps
Crunching the dead debris
His paws flexing
He prowls along the corners
If the concrete city
His eyes the lighting on the walls
His roar the music
His claws the needles
His maw the mall
They used to kill him
Now they embrace
His eyes, his maw his claw
