The Big Move Poem by Jordane Parkes

The Big Move

As I walk the streets,
feeling the massive sun's heat,
I look into the beautiful blue sky,
wondering if I'll ever be back at this place,
I say farewell to my family and friends,
and take one final look to find grace

In the last moments,
that I travel,
I watch the cars roll by,
the seagulls in the sky,
I feel the wonderful sea breeze across my face,
all the beautiful moments I embrace,
and I realized I never fully appreciated what I had,
until it was too late.
