The Cave - Poem by tammy soleno

A Cave in the black of night
Holds secrets whispered untold
inside the cave dwellings,
where bats are heard,
tussling around in the darkness,
down under inside the earth,
where waterfalls calm the silence around,
a place where beautiful crystals form,
in the places where the earth leaks,
colors from magenta to lavender are seen,
fostering around the trail,
ever changing the landscape,
a place forever untouched,
by the hand of man,
a realm of the old,
Walls of rocks fitted in unison
amidst rifts of creatures hidden.
A gritty floor of hardened clay,
untouched by the light of day.
