The City Of Neon Nights Poem by Justin Gildow

The City Of Neon Nights

Cast a shadow
And hope the illusions will follow
In this day
Nothing can be taken for granted
Nothing is cheap
Nothing is for free
Love is hard to find
But when it comes along
It shoots you to the sky

Riding through the streets
Under the rainbow light
Through the city of neon nights
I dream of the day when I'll be able to fly
I await the day to celebrate at the top
I wait for the day to fall in love
And as long as I know
And as long as you know
I'm waiting for you

Shoot the sparks into the sky
I hope they'll find you tonight
While I ride through the city of neon nights
While I ride through the elegant bridges
While others are racing by in dream machines
I'm waiting for you
And I hope you'll find me tonight
And I hope that wherever you are right now
That you're doing alright

I look forward to the time
When we can get lost and tangled inside a real dream
Silence is golden
Yet truth is a whisper

All it takes is you
I'm just waiting for you tonight
As I ride through the city of neon nights
While I wait to meet you
I'll drive on

While I drive
I'll admire the appearance of the moon
If there's anything I've learned
Especially on this kind of night
Is things can come and go away
Just as soon

Wow, it's a wondering poem! :) It's a look up at a sky angle of what you describe. :))
