The Confused Soul - Poem by Joshua Salas

We live in a world of confusion
We live only to discover what our purpose is
One soul wanders only to discover fake truths or false ideas
One soul only to be lead on by a special someone and left in the dirt later

One soul confused on what it wants or needs
One soul to live on a life of lonely solitude
A life to live on tears and shattered love
A life that can only depend on one self

A life where one will never find a place to rest
A life to which it learns from its own mistakes
Learn from the lives of others around it
Learn to live in the void of others

Learn from all the issues piled up inside it
Learn the abilities it gains and loses
This soul is me, this soul hates me
This soul lives in me, this soul wants to escape from me

This soul wants me to change, this mind i have refuses
This soul needs to live, this mind wants to kill it
Why do I think like this
Why do i treat myself in such a negative manner

I need someone to be with me
I need someone to help me
I need someone with me
I need someone
