The Darkness That Surrounds Me Poem by ANGELA MILLIGAN

The darkness that surrounds me, is that of the darkness that's inside me.
It's a mixture of my love and hate for you,
The hard things that Iv'e had to do.
It is my tears and years of sorrow,
the dreading of tommorrow.
It is full of my life's shadows,
in the midst of all my battles.
It is all the times Iv'e tried to scream,
with only silence to answer me.
It is full of my death,
but only my inner death.
so you only have to fear,
when this darkness gets to be too much,
and i give myself over to it's clutch.
