The Death Of Thee's Lover Poem by Ike Thomas

The Death Of Thee's Lover

Why has death taken thee thy shall never know
I try to keep my feelings in but it is best to let them show
All though my heart may sting and ache you are always by my side
However I need you like an ocean needs its tide
I always thought we would live this life together hand in hand
Then you went and left this earth let your soul amend
My heart may beat fiercely at the sound of your name
But this heart is wild and may never be tamed
I sigh and pull back the cover
To the death of thy's lover.
