The Deep Blue - Poem by Nicholas J Perla

Ocean waves, a calming sound
Seagulls squawking on the ground
A broken sky all above
birds calling, like a dove

endless waters all around
the deep blue, all down
Foamy surf along the shore
Cold, brisk waters, and a rocky floor
Mussels sticking to the sea stacks
fish are feeding, finding snacks
clams are buried, under the land
crabs are scurrying, upon the sand

watching the waves, as my days run out
waves are crashing, there is no doubt
