The Desert Sun Is Not A Sun Poem by james watkin

The Desert Sun Is Not A Sun

The desert sun is not a sun
But pharoah with a whip.
Brazen of face, bringing down
The ever thirsting lip.

As wide as is escapeless his
Furious prolonged stare.
Slow lines of nomadic merchants
A chained bondage ghost there.
