The End - Poem by Gordon Jerome

Alone I’ll be as my end nears
As by myself I’ll shed my tears
I wish I had more time with you
Oh so much love you never knew
It appears I’ll never see Irish hills
Or feel an Alaskan evenings chills
To walk along on black beach sand
Or once more hold a loving hand
I’ve come to accept my life alone
And all the sorrows It has known
I wish I had more time too share
To show how much I truly care
But alas my time is near its end
Cry not for me my final friend.
“closing thought”
When my time is finally here
Remember I loved you all so dear
