The Fork

Rating: 5.0
I came to the fork
One limb had a ford
If i crossed the river
There was hope of a life giver
There was hope
If i didn't drown at the ford

The second led to freedom
A new freer kingdom
I would be free to live
As long as allegiance i give
To my new oppressor
Pleasure under pressure

The third option was a loop road
Back to where i stood abroad
The safety of hindsight
The same issues i had to fight
These were my choices
In my mind my voices

I came to the fork
Each path had a yoke
A, B or C
All i wanted was to be free.
I turned on my heels
Headed for unknown hills

An interesting triangle of choice! Which road to choose? Great word choice, I believe this theme will resonate with most readers!

As Yogi Berra once said, 'When you come to a fork in the road, take it! '
