The Girl Across The Street Poem by Kevin Fung

The Girl Across The Street

There she is,
the girl across the street.
You see her,
and she sees you.
You have seen her for the past few years,
and yet, there has been no communication.
Is she a happy girl? Don't know
Is she a sad girl? Don't know
Day after day,
week after week,
the months fly by.
Finally, you make eye contact.
And, you see and say,
she is the one for me.
So all your time is spent on her,
impressing upon her,
how heavy you can lift something,
or how fast you can run.
But all your attempts are futile.
But being the man you are, you try, try agian
However, what you don't know is,
she cares about the one muscle men use less
and less every day.
Your True Heart
