all deserted.

'WE CAN LEARN FROM GOD'S CRITTERS' but not when humans interfere. My family had four English pug dogs - wonderful spunky, loyal companion animals. They sneeze a lot. Because they were once bulldogs bred in Asia to be very small. The breeding process damaged their whole respiratory system. But people got the small dog they wanted. That's why there is the myth of the Veil of Isis - do not disturb the poise of Nature, do not remove the Veil.

i appreciate about your poetry and comments, daniel, that i learn things. the veil of isis, eh? not paying attention or learning from critters, i see people here jogging in the middle of the day when it's 90 degrees or more and the sun is bearing down. so much better to get out in the cool of the morning when the ants are busy. thank you, as always, for deigning to read my poems and taking the time to comment thoughtfully and interestingly. -glen

Indeed! And the ants have air-conditioned homes. Termites mounds are apparently ventilated so that the hot air collects in a central chimney during the day and gets exhaled at night. They are created instinctively wise.
