The Hungry Shadow By Ray Subrata - Poem by Subrata Ray

The Ray penetrated into the womb,
Light and shed fostered the tree,

The tiny lump heralded its advent,
In light and gloom buds the shadow.

Time sets trap in shadow’s nature,
In hidden calculator the waning measure,
Irony saw the stage –wise spread,
The changing child in different grades.

No where was, now here, and again no more,
From what naught? Who brought? Who leads to shore?

Airy creature,
Muddy vesture,
Magic lustrous.
Will foster,
In a dramatic plot,
The show is over,
Falls down the cover,
The ghost hovers,
The Sun and the Moon,
Drop and dwindle soon,
The shadow melts into air.

The foggy fog,
Condenses in a bog,
And waits for a second ray,
To meet the hunger and to be gay.
