The King - Poem by Barry Halls

As The King stood there
Singing his song
The whole world was with him
Singing along

Everyone knew
His ego was growing
He was soon to be a legend
And it was showing

As The King sat there
On his porcelain throne
The King’s addiction was a monster
It was now full blown

Several decades later
He is still known as the King
The King of Rock n’ Roll
Because he could sing
