    I remember this poem from the film Carve Her Name With Pride staring Viginia McKenna a. True story made in 1958 about a woman soldier held prisoner and tortured and died in WW2 by Nazis in concentration camp. It was Heart Breaking and I need forgot this poem from that film (Report) Reply

    My son read this at my Mothers funeral.... She dedicated her life to us - her life was ours and ours and ours. I totally respect the heritage of the poem, but it also reasonates so very very much at a common level. Such beautiful words, thank you X x (Report) Reply
