The Little Glass Duck - Poem by beeble berry

You are the little glass duck
on the sitting room shelf
and the favorite book beside it.
You are the sunlight
that washes the room
and the window that lets it enter.
You are the path
to the comfortable chair
and the pillow that makes it softer.
You are the walks
through the leaves in the fall
and the warm scarf I wrap all around me.
Yes, the little glass duck
is still warm from the sun
as I ponder my book's well-read pages.
In my chair, on my pillow,
I think of the woods,
with my warm scarf wrapped snugly around me.
