The Little One - Poem by Anonymous MSM
You were the little one, a tiny little thing
Who had a fire in your heart and the presence of a king
You would confront any afflictions like a maiden in a dance
There was never time for nastiness, it never stood a chance.
But for my tiny little warrior, so harder was the fight;
Wielding your sword against those enemies - larger than your might
And when they finally captured you, to wrap you in a harness
You fought them down and cut it free and rode into the darkness.
And it was there that you would not return - as you found a place to lie
Your escape into a peaceful land - is how you meant to say goodbye.
And when it's cold at night and I'm all alone and start to think of silly things
An ease and comfort comes in knowing what the morning light will bring
Which is your Magenta smile swept across the sky so bright and grand
And your fiery heart which spreads across a warmth of great command
And so I know my little one is back again, to shine upon my land.
