The Love Less Lighthouse Keeper - Poem by Sean Kelly

Like a light house keeper by the sea
I shine a light so you can avoid me
Don’t want you to join others, caught on the rocks
Hampered path to the real me, too which they block

It’s not very peaceful here
The crashing blue sea, the tick tocking grandfather clock
When you left it was an awful shock
Lay awake at night, never leave the house when its light

But when night comes, it’s my time to shine
Don’t worry about me, ill be fine
For now, anyway, I relive the memories
Of your boat passing by

Leaving little to hold on to, although I try
As I stare into the deep dark sky
This is harder than I thought it would be
I wish this feeling would just die

If there’s one thing I can take from this
It’s my memory of how I cherished your kiss
Always in my heart, I’ve fought from the start
This feeling will live on, even thought we’ve had to part

With this rhyme, I say good-bye
To the most beautiful girl of all time
The strongest person I’ve ever met
Don’t see her any more, the one thing that I regret

I hope I’ll never ever forget
How she used to laugh when I called her pet
And sugar, and honey
Ow yes, Carmyl was extremely yummy

My best friend
My penguin
My Miss Carmyl C Higson
I hope I see her again

Such a beautifull write.... First Love? ? ? At any rate the feel is so strong with deep love and gently penned to portray a still burning love of what once was...... Enjoyed this.......
