The Man Upon The Waves - Poem by Eugene Baby

Once I was sitting on the seashore, wide
The sky was red and the sun is setting
The cold wind touched my blue face, side by side
And the lonely waves cry, and seashells rang

As quite as the night, my face was lone
Continously, tears fell from my eyes
And although the birds sang different tones
My heart kept breaking, it is fine as lace

And as my tears fell from my eyes and down
The waves had calmed, and the loneliness, gone
A man was standing far across the waves
I knew right then that he was here to save

And I stand up, with a smiling face on
My eyes had glitterecd, my face had brightened
My heart sang; it is the start of new dawn
Joy came back and ne'er I'll be frightened
