The Ocean Depths - Poem by Jack Darkwood

What hides beneath the ocean depths?
A hidden city full
of treasures never found?
Odd creatures that
have never seen the light?
A never ending pit
Drilled through the earth?
Poisonous corals lurking
in the shadows of the rocks?
Urchins and crabs
scuttling here and there?
Sunken ships and boats
being eaten by bacteria?
A chest full or jewels
dropped by ancient peoples?
A civilization
advanced and in growth?
A shrine to gods
we haven't know about?
The world may never know.
