The Pain - Poem by Tamara Moir

The room is disappearing
The lights are growing dim
No one can understand
The pain that I am in

I am all alone
No one cares for me
No witness to my life
No one there to see

And as I close my eyes
I have one last wish
I wish for you to be happy
And me, you never will miss

All that I can see now
Is the image of your face
As I slowly slip away
To go to a better place

The pain I am feeling
Is beyond any ever felt
But this is the way life is
I must deal with the hand I am dealt

But soon it will all be over
I will no longer be in your head
For soon enough I will leave
Soon enough, I will be dead

The room is disappearing
The lights are growing dim
No one will ever understand
The pain that I am in
