The Passover Seder Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

The Passover Seder

The Almighty ordained that we
Recite annually the History,
Of how HE delivered us long ago
From the grasp of the Egyptians, who
Had put our Ancestors into slavery
To build for their Masters Pyramids of stone,
So HE could deliver us to our Promised Home.

The Seder Ritual is set in stone,
So families and friends be not alone,
To recite and sing, ask questions, read,
Take note of our History and our Creed,
Of how HE delivered us from Pharaoh’s Hand,
Via Mount Sinai to the Promised Land.

Each year as we do older grow,
And take the Seder Service slow,
We understand more of what HE did,
And learn more answers previously hid,
Of the Great Miracles HE for us wrought,
When for our Freedom our Ancestors fought.
