Cat Broken in 2

The Past Is Not Forgotten - Poem by Cat Broken in 2

glancing in the rear view mirror,
you see the past.
memories and feelings
you wish could have last.

Some things are too much to ask for.
some things you want there forever,
are there no more.

Life can be so confusing,
life can be so crule.
the world is not fair,
one of life's rules.

take life as it comes,
deal with it as you go.
fake a smile, fake a laugh-
no one will ever know.

Slowly, to the ground you fall,
you can't take this any longer.
no reason to stand tall,
no reason to hope at all.

colapsed on the floor,
you cry your heart out...broken inside.
you need a way out-
somewhere to hide.

all that can be heard now,
are your breaths of pain.
time has stoped completely,
and it seems as if your going insane.

dictanced from all you once loved,
with the peaces falling apart.
smashed and shattered-
there lay, what was once your heart.

picking up whats left of yourself,
some slivers you cannot find.
must let go of those memories,
because some shards are best left behind.

but some things you can never forget,
as it is plain to see.
not even time can erase
what in your heart was ment to be.

the love for this person so dear,
is ever rooted within.
a love so strong it almost hurts,
and will never fade like the passing wind...

*In loving rememberance of Steven C.-i miss you.*
