The Poem About ‘merica - Poem by Jeremy Scott

I think she was still hurt,
The mental war most of us were having
Had taken her up.
It was me time, too
Young beauty

I regretted

Not being in love
Flat out
With my love showing at 31
I felt I was already in you,
That that bright face in front you
Was somehow as awake as you
That my beating heart
Was extended again
To the ‘Merican dream
