The Realization - Poem by Praneeth Reddy

Is life without troubles possible?
Away from all worries,
no sense of urgency,
happiness all around,
reliving my innocent childhood,
free from evil or guilt

Can I plow ahead without a hitch?
letting go all burden,
slipping away into a warm tranquility,
live as a free bird
But then,
why doesn’t this ever happen?
to anyone whosoever?

I have had my share
of joys and sorrows,
commit mistakes,
might lead a sinful life till the end,
But did I ever look back?

Is God being rude to me?
Or is he testing my mettle
The moment I apologize
I repent
For the sins I have committed
A transformation

A flash in my vision,
I realize
I have been rightly put
On a never ending journey,
Of hunting a hidden treasure
Invaluable, yet attainable,
Right within me
A journey into myself,
Exploring a plethora of possibilities,
To get back on the right path,
Choose the right way.

Life is filled with a new light
Of realization,
Of a better understanding.
A deep sense of gratitude
for I know now,
or rather experience
the joy in going through troubles
and coming out undeterred
A lesson learnt.
