The Reason - Poem by Dee Main

In everyone's life, they have a special reason.
This reason will not change like nature's seasons.
It's their motivation, their driving force.
It's the very thing that keeps their life on course.
For some it is a deep desire or a burning need.
For others it's something on which their soul can feed.
A chance to make a difference in anothers life,
Or simply a way to deal with their own strife.
Their reason is what causes them to keep on trying,
To better themselves and to keep their dreams flying.
For this reason, they constantly strive for perfection.
For this reason, they will stick to their conviction.
With all of these things having now been said,
There is one reason my soul keeps being fed.
For my reason to continue on is found in you.
You are my reason for doing all that I can do.
