The River Cries

Rating: 5.0
Many drowned therein, crying
Many insects caught up in the current, dying, crying
The birds came for a drink, snapped by the croc, crying
The little impala came to quench its thirst, died, crying
Predator after predator, savouring the cries, of victims caught at the waters edge.
In the depths, the big fish makes the small cry, gurgle and die
Fishes cry, their spawn sumptuous meals
Plastic pollution, raw sewage and other debris, making the fishermen cry
Catching dead fish.
Dont be fooled by the placid stroll of the river
The life giver cries
The river cries.
