The Road Is The Same - Poem by Robert Murray Smith

The lonelines of a long
illness takes us
on the same roads
as marathon
runners.

We must take the same road
everyday, tired and
exhausted, accumulated,
climbing into bed,
awaiting another
day.

Dr Dillip, a very kind comment. As poets, we must try to get into the feelings of those who are ill.
