The Roots - Poem by Khai Ramsey

The foundation of a pretty flower
Must be extremely strong

The Stem feeds off the roots
The pedals off the stem

They all work together
To help the growing process along

Love in a relationship is just the same

Love must have a foundation
There must be conversation and knowledge for the interest to remain

You get to know me, I get to know you
We get to know eachother and our love becomes true

We are like a flower
Our roots are our knowledge of one another

Our stem is the bond we are forming together

Our pedals are our love
They blossom with time
And like our love they can never die
