The Second Eden - Poem by ryan dainiel brown

Meadows of roses and lilies
All creations of her
She glides through her flowers
Making new with a simple flick of her wrist

The more her paradise grows,
The more I become entranced in her
Her simple beauty intoxicating
That the holy envy her

Their pawns carry her away
Leaving her babies to writher
And I along with them
Waiting for the return of her face

She is as innocent as the divine angels
I wish for her to break free
To carry me away from my barren land
Carrying us with her light wings

I cry out for my imprisoned angel
Traveling the mortal land
I Search high and low and everywhere in between
Yet I still eye for clues of her

A soft lullaby guides me
Her romantic tune calls for only me
I yearn to see her exotic lips,
Weaving their holy song

I hold one prayer within my soul
That no man shares my curse
A love to a forbidden fruit
Yet I pity the world

I turn in disgust at my surroundings
The hate evident in every face
Drugs, beer, divorce, murder
The daily sins of today's society

Our love is suspended in time
Waiting for eternity to take us
For now I present you a gift: my heart
A heart that beats in tune with yours
