The Sleepless God - Poem by mary carter

My anxious nature is committed
To the care of The Sleepless God,
When I rest in His stillness!
He knows all my secrets,
And in spite of my human frailty,
He reveals His presence and His power
With such precision that compels me,
Like seasoned, pliant dough,
To submit to His Almighty hand
That will knead and mold me
For His good pleasure, honor and glory!
Having experienced his unwavering loyalty,
I walk securely within His promises.
I am equipped to endure all things with dignity.
I celebrate life without transgression.
I am in awe of this Sleepless God,
Who has never forsaken a sunrise or a sunset;
Who has never forsaken my comings and goings;
Who has weaved a triple hedge of protection
Around and about me now and forevermore!
