The Sneeky Mouse - Poem by Kristi Martin

If I were a mouse, I would sneek around the house.
Gobbling this and that...and always lookin for that silly cat.
I would sneak a peek in the kitchen sink, sometimes there something in there good to eat...
The trash can is a neat place to be, always some kind of treat in there for me...
Scampering about with my little tiny feet, trying to be oh so discrete...What's that I hear, with my little tiny ears....OH MY, the cat is near! ! !
Run away! Go hide QUICK....Oh NO, I ate too much and I feel so sick!
I run into my hole, my home, my den, hide there from that cat until it's safe to come out again.
