The Sun And The Butterfly Poem by Mubeen Sadhika

The Sun And The Butterfly

A colourful butterfly
borne along and aloft
on the summer breeze
greeted the sun for
the luminescence around
the insect and wanted
to get a promise from
the bright object
'turn me into steel
so that I never melt'
'granted, ' said the Helios
the unique animatedness
challenged the heat
of the blazing star
which slowly started to cool off
plunging the planets into darkness
vows never to be transgressed
