Up above the Tower of Silence
And the carrion birds circling around
Marking from above,
Perched around
Telling of life and human things,
Human conditions and situations.

At a very and lonely secluded place
Lies it the Tower, the structure,
The Tower of Silence,
Overlooking man and his colonies
That he has settled, inhabited,
The areas around the Tower.

The kites circling over, circling and circling,
The vultures alighting around
To perch on sideways
To feed and fest,
To cleanse the body of flesh,
The body to decompose.

The Tower of Silence
Under the open skies,
Near the trees and bushes and hills
Telling of what it was in life,
What it in death,
What it is in this body of flesh and bones!

The carrion birds eat off,
Cleanse the flesh from bones
And it remains not anything over
Only the bones to fall into the pit
To finish it all, how to view
The Tower of Silence with the vultures around!
