The poem tells about the persons who hope to become popular or famous. Those who follow rules and are wedded to their principles remain unknown. If an individual is to be recognised in society, he needs to swerve from the path of (righteousness) tne world.Remember Gray's elegy? Wordsworth's Lucy? The unknown are not only the forgotten or ignored but also unsullied, uncorrupted, uninhibited and innocent.Ambition and progress are qualities praised today but is the society at large progressing as a result? Ethics.Necessary? ? ! ! ! ! !
