This is a gem of a poem Bonnie and you have powerfully blended emotion throughout this impressive piece. I loved your metaphor of nature and walls of beauty to compare to walls of our hearts. It connects the stanzas where it appears so well. Home is a haven for the heart and you have stolen my heart with this beautiful poem. 10 love Karin

Sentiments of nostalgia and tenderness flood this poem and must be shared by everyone who reads this beautiful poem. It's too easy to spend one's life searching for an illusive 'other' that doesn't exist. Better to look over one's shoulder and remind oneself of family and roots. An honest and very readable poem. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Bonnie! home is where the heart is! i believe that's true but can only speak as one so poor, maybe just like you! 'things of no monetary value, were held in high esteem and a visit to the beach, was sometimes but a dream bless you Bonnie, a wonderful poem
