Thief - Poem by Chris Jesslyn

I
Trail You
At crowded places.
Nimble fingers quickly act,
Searching pockets for some loot,
Out before you realise,
Leaving you alone.
Appearing again
Tomorrow.

I
With just
Paper and Pen,
Urging you to sign,
Documents, papers that never exist,
Escaping with your money,
Leaving you alone.
Appearing again
Tomorrow.

I
The thief
Of national secrets.
Espionage is my game,
Selling secrets is my name,
Never ever getting caught,
Leaving you alone.
Appearing again
Tomorrow

I
Armed with
Just a computer.
Hacking through the network,
Gleaning your secrets and information,
Exposing them to everyone,
Leaving you alone.
Appearing again
Tomorrow

I
Am caught
Locked in jail,
But I will escape.
Out to haunt you again,
Then taking a break,
Leaving you alone.
Appearing again
Tomorrow

I
Come at
Black witching hour
To steal your dreams,
To take away your hope,
Then creeping away silently,
Leaving you alone.
Appearing again
Tomorrow
