This Love.. - Poem by Ann Thrope

This love is troubling and twisted,
confusing and reassuring,
scary and comforting.
It is forever and never,
forgetful and loving.
I crave it and fear it,
desire and destroy it.
I need it and push it away,
I want it, but cannot have it.
She owns my heart,
she tears it apart,
but she always remembers to say she loves me.
And I love her,
and she loves him,
and it will never happen again.
