This Pair - Poem by Rob Knetsch

this pair
of eyes are the brightest
deep warm blue diamonds
shining like the most star

her glare
blinds my sight and my mind
turning me into a beef jerky
a nothing in her shadow

i stare
and i can't pull away
i am frozen and don't dare
to touch her inner warmth
