Thread Of Life - Poem by John Lee Cameron

I forgot the thread of life today
woven down the years
i forgot my age
I didn't recognise myself in the windowpane
though my reflection was plane
to see
I heard a name, but not my own
My friends were strangers
and where i lived was not my home
The attic hordes a history
but not for me
There are hugs and kisses
and stories if you listen
Children play
But i lost the thread of life today
woven down the years
I forgot it all
again.
