Time Touches - Poem by Emily Ecstacy

My dreams hang like the stars-
Waiting to be found.

My head is like a traveller,
Lose, confused, homeward bound.

My love is like a flower,
Delicate and profound

I watch you through these imaginary bars of my mind
Oh how they hold me back

From myself, the world
Drifting into black.

The tighter I try hold
The more I do slip

Back into darkness
I cant seem to get your grip

You are my healer that remain secret inside
Yet shared with the world you are

You do not follow and proclaim
But let us follow and in your pain, releave us of our burdens
That weight that burns.

Scars we share amoungst the world
That disappear into the swirls of our toil

Even when you are not there
You are here

The little faith we have
Yet we keep holding on

If there is one thing I shall learn from life
That time never touches the same place twice

I like the first three stanzas and the last line. A lot of life's lessons embedded here. (Report) Reply
