To My Baby - Poem by Amanda harding

I want to feel him there
My child I don’t know
If I can bare
Did the fist do me harm
Did I do something wrong
My baby boy in heaven now
I hope you’re safe
Every night I dream of seeing him
My dreams that he’s growing up
But my nightmares take over
Piercing my heart
This I cannot control
Can I create life again?
Can I bare the child I want so much?
Nothing can compare
Is a child really too much to ask
I’m so scared I’ll never hold him
Never be able to give him my love
My heart so full of love
Yet so empty
There’s only one thing missing
In my life
I have my angel
I pray each night
That we will be blessed
With a child of our own
Crying myself to sleep with fear
Chest so tight
I ache inside
For a child of our own
