To The Screwed Perceptions On Independence - Poem by CDM Anderson

Loneliness is perceivable
But it's negatively perceived
I claim independence.

This shit ain't no lonely game
It's a mission I'm bound to accomplish -
Can't you see?

I fought for what's now my own.
I claimed independence without a loss
I claimed independence without a loss
In my own identity.

I found myself through means of my own self-destruction
I found myself though hardships and overprotection
But through it all, I found myself
And not once did I ever lose one iota of me.

I am ridiculed for being an abnormal figure
But you dare not read my words
My independence defeats the pessimism boiling in this fragile society
Your mind is an ignoramus of self-hate
Too afraid to read my words
Mentally destroyed and deferred.

My independence dare not be ridiculed
Ridicule my ways
But my independence
Cannot be mislead
You were once blind and misguided
But now you're not..

I am three in one
I am me, myself, and I -
Can't you see?
