Torn - Poem by ali walters

I hide my pain behind a facade
The face that you see arent the thoughts in my head
I put all the hurt into a smile
But you cannot see through the denial
Twisting rage and insecurities
To something you just cant see
Self loathe, self hate, self pity,
Its all that i am and and all i feel
Its turned me into something real
Fantasies have snapped and gone
Reality has kept me torn
This tortured soul can no longer see
The greatness that was inside me
All that is left, the thing that i kept
Is the hate for myself

We all wear the mask ali, generally in the main but, just because we do it, does not make it right. Self hatred is one of the most worthless emotions. Tear it out and throw it, is my advice. 8 from me. Smiling at ya (genuinely!) Tai (Report) Reply
