Tortured No More - Poem by Joseph Cunningham

Well yeah I may have failed
But I took my shot and still have the memories
Futures looking bright once more
She's blonde but a real sweetheart

I'm through with the shit
That came my way and fucked me up
Leanne's forever gone and I know its best
Because she nearly ruined me

Bonds still tight and friends still here
Soul intact and spirit brimming
New beginnings have sowed their oats
The horizon's in sight and it guides my shadow

I walk with a knowing deep inside
That destiny's altered in its cosmic way
Those times, they really are a' changing
So I'll take the hand of this new love
And step into a (now) different world
