Greatness of this poet resides in her masterful use of figures of speech without having to worry about being difficult to understand... Admirable. (Report) Reply

Love costs all we are....like every thing in life love demands sacrifice. (Report) Reply

An uncomfortable truth. People who have been hurt by love or whatever masks itself in the guise of love are extremely hard to be touched again. Most of these people would certainly not receive that touch with open arms and would be dubious when they should be trusting. Thus people who have been harmed before now continue the harm by sabotaging themselves. A lonely position to be in.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ]
    And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
    and will ever be.
    Yet it is only love
    which sets us free.

A fitting poem by Maya on what would have been her 88th birthday. How we miss her!
