Trees - Poem by Kelsey Deg
Rooted to the earth like an anchor,
Up in the sky like a bird.
Flowing limbs like a child,
Stories and tales unheard.
The wind flowing through like the ocean,
The sun, beating down like rain.
The storms are brushed off like nothing,
The fragile branches still swinging
Caressing the cheek of the earth.
Sleeping at the dawn of night.
Touching the wind with its branches,
Singing to the whistles of the moon light.
